6 reasons I love Autumn

This time of year is my fave, so I better get started and tell you all the reasons why.

  • My birthdays in the Autumn and even though I'm getting older each year it still doesn't feel like I get any less excited. I think I'm one of those really annoying people that just gets excited for everything, but doesn't everyone love being a birthday girl and getting to put on the birthday girl crown and being treated for the day?!

  • Now are summer has been beautiful this year in the UK and that meant that we could wear all our summer clothes that with a normal British summer would still be to cold to wear, and I loved it. Now though I'm looking forward to putting all my winter/Autumn clothes (snuggly jumpers, woolly tights ect.) but what I've been looking forward to most is wearing my lovely coat that I got for Christmas last year. So excited to get wearing it!

  • Now my sisters think I'm weird for this one, but I love going outside and feeling how cold it is on my face but I'm snuggled up all toastie in my posh coat and am warm every where else. Can no one else relate, or am I really that abnormal?!

  • This time of year is just so pretty and I don't think anyone can disagree, all the leaves going brown and falling to the ground like confetti. I'm not even joking looking out of my window the other day really did look like it was orangey confetti. Pretty!

  • I've woken up this morning very happy as I have benefitted from an extra hour in bed, so satisfying. I mean you wake up and your like 'oh, it's quarter past nine' and then your like 'oh no it's not, it's actually quarter past eight, yes!' Yes I do realise that waking up at that time is despicable, but come on it's a Sunday!

  • It's Halloween up next! Can't wait, if there any occasion to have a party and go a bit crazy I'm all for it!
I've really enjoyed writing this post, I know I've kind of abandoned my blog for yonks, I've just been so busy doing lots of very exciting things in my life and have been trying lots of new things. I'm never going to be the most consistent blogger as my life is just way to interesting for me to dedicate my time souly on this, so just giving you a little heads up there!

Happy (Late) Easter - Better Late Than Never, Right?

Today wanted to let you have a sneaky peak into what has now become my family's Easter tradition of making a load of yummy mess! And I know what your thinking, yes, I'm just a little late so if your like me and your Easter eggs are long gone this is probably going to make you go out and buy all the leftover Easter eggs that are now on clearance in the shops.

So my Gran very bravely allowed us to take over her kitchen so that we could make EASTER EGGS!

My egg, and aren't orange Smarties always the best?
We were worried we hadn't brought enough chocolate!!!!!
Don't worry, it was for 10 peoples eggs (me trying to justify it)
Chocolate, Chocolate and more Chocolate!
I hope you enjoyed drooling over these photos and your Easter bunny was as generous as mine. I have definitely over dosed on the chocolate over Easter. Sometimes you've just got to be bad haven't you?

My Gran and Granddad will probably Still be washing up all those sticky chocolate bowls!

Home Alone

Are you the sort of person that throws a raucous house party, or are you like me and thinks why bother sharing! Don't get me wrong I love the sound of house party's but sometimes that's not an option and I think I have found the perfect way to throw your own private party.

Now I'd better be careful what I put here otherwise my big sis might get just a leetle concerned and not ever let me be the only occupant in the house EVER again!

Now what better way to get the party started than food. If your mum is anything like mine you will know that if you burrow deep enough in the kitchen cupboards then you will find treasure ( in our case chocolate.) If you don't come away without any goodies then, yeah you really need to go on a food shop OR just lower your expectations a little and do another round of the cupboards.

Another thing I like to do is test out my vocal range, I may not be an opera singer but I'm pretty sure I can go high enough to communicate with the whales! You can sort of see why I leave this thing for when I'm by myself as I don't want to deafen the less aquatic inhabitants of our house.

Once you have finished your conversation with the whales why not pick some sort of dramatic song to sing and boogie along to to your hearts content. I recommend Sia Chandelier as yeah, it's dramatic and I've got it soooo stuck in my head at the moment. The music video is amazing as Maddie Ziegler is an amazing dancer.

After you have tired yourself out with your dancing,(I know, my energy is limited) why not try doing roly-poly's on the bed, I chose my mums as I thought it best to do this sort of thing on a double! I always thought I sucked at roly-poly's and it wasn't until my trampolining teacher told me I was doing one that I actually believed I could do it. Anythings possible, so you never know you might surprise yourself. Release the inner gymnast in you no matter how hidden it may seem.

Just a little side note I take no responsibility for damaged furniture or your personal well-being!

And why not round off your evening pretending to be an Olympic gymnast or some other celebrity being interviewed. A roll-on deodorant bottle acts as a grate microphone, I should know!

I would love to know if you relate to the same weirdness's as I do, don't lie I know you do some of them.

January Favourites

It just seems like this month has whizzed past it doesn't seem that long ago that I was writing about what I got for Christmas, though saying that it definitely seems like a long time since I finished my Christmas chocolate!

Also just a little side note, you nearly didn't get a favorites today as me being my forgetful self only went and left my camera out in the rain all night (typical UK weather!) Luckily it still worked, so just in case any of you didn't know I don't advise you doing that.

Now I know I've already shown you these willow patterned Dr Martens but I thought I'd put them in there again as I love them so much. Now that I've got the right size I'm wearing them at every opportunity. They are so comfy, I think I'm lucky as I know for a lot of people them have to wear there Dr Martens in quite a bit before they're actually comfy. When I've got them on I just keep looking down at my feet, at least I'm almost certainly not going to stand in dog poo!

The second thing I'm loving this month is my new slippers, they are really comfy. Hopefully they'll be made of tougher stuff than my last pair as both me and my sister have this amazing knack of demolishing perfectly good pairs of slippers. They came from  Marks and Spencer

This Mirror is so good as it's so clear and so pretty, it's very useful, if like me you have a brace and you want to make sure you don't have food all smammed around your brace. I know it's disgusting!

The book that I've literally just finished reading only last night is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. As you all probably know by now, I love the Harry Potter books so you probably already know which book is going to be in next months favorites!

For this months song of the month it's Florence and the Machine Queen of Peace
It's from her latest album which can I just say is incredible, me and my sister listen to it whilst we're cooking. Baking and boogieing whats not to like?!

Trying Something New!

Lets be honest, the other day I was having one of those days, the sort of days were you munch through the dregs of your Christmas chocolate feeling quite despondent. With Christmas being over your thinking what next, how can I make this year what I want it to be?
Well I decided the best thing to do was to consult my note book of things I wanted to do, (I know, I have a note book for just about everything, most lay collecting dust half finished.) But top of the list was Join trampolining and I suddenly had this mad impulse to join it. I mulled over what the next step was. Phone up about it. After phoning a couple of places I found somewhere that did trampolining which had places available and signed up the next day, It's amazing how much easier it is to write this down than to be waiting for someone to pick up the receiver, gripping the phone with extremely sweaty hands.

I think for anyone, trying something new is daunting and I certainly wasn't an exception to that rule. Yet I did it!!!  And had one of the best times I'd had in a really long time, it was just so fun!

I thought I'd add this video in as it's one of the things that inspired me to join trampolining. She's is amazing!

Surprisingly I haven't quite got to her level yet!

For anyone wanting to try something new this year I would say 'go for it!' because it's an amazing feeling knowing you've ticked off one mammoth thing on your list already.

Book Recommendations

.

I personally am a right old book worm and there is nothing I like more than on a cold winters day (I know the weather in the UK has certainly taken a chilly turn) than to snuggle in my bed with my book.

So these books are all sort of based around Self esteem and anxiety, and I have found them all to be very useful books.
.

Last and certainly not least as it's probably my favorite book out of all of these and that is HOW 2B HAPPY by J Alexander. I think the reason it's my favorite is because for me it's an instant positivity boost, and it really rubs off on me.

She makes you think about things in a different, more positive way and makes it fun by adding in quizzes and activity's. It's quite an easy read which I find really good because you don't want to go trudging through a mammoth book as I know I would find it dull.

If you decide to have a little read I really hope you find them as helpful as I did.

New years resolutions

It's now 2016
Which is all very exciting as it means a new beginning, and is the perfect time to start new things. This is obviously very scary, but I have a feeling once I've achieved what I want I will feel so much better.

Right, on to my goals,

Join a Club, this is one I want to achieve more than any of my resolutions, the reason for this is I would really like to get some friends and I think this is the best way to go about it. I don't actually know what club I want to join yet but these are the ones I've been thinking about.
Trampolining
Badminton
Modern dance

I know my interests are quite varied that's why it's so hard to choose
.
Try different foods, now I'm a very fussy eater, it's that I don't like a lot food, it's just that I've never tried a lot of things. The way I'm going to go about this is to try and try at least two different things every month, I've already tried one thing this month, Camembert, the cheese, to me it tastes a lot like brea and I was surprised at how good it tastes.

Be comfortable using public transport, I find even the thought of it really hard as it makes me super anxious as you can't just hop off the bus or train any time you want. I've thought about this one and I think the best way for me to deal with this one is to start by going on very short bus trips to just say the next village and then gradually try and build it up to longer trips.

Try and ride again, as over the last six months I have lost my confidence to the point that I wasn't even sure that I wanted to do it anymore because it was causing me so much stress just being with horses. but over Christmas when we didn't go for about a week I realized that I really missed it and now that has really made me more determined.

Make the most out of 2016 I also want to try to be as confident and as positive as possible this year, a start trying new things.

Well, I think that's a nice note to leave you on.
I would love to hear what your resolutions are, let me know in the comments.
